Obituary

George Daniel Kruse, 68, of Cedar, died Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at home with his family by his side.  He was born February 5, 1957, in Saginaw, the beloved son of George and Carol Kruse.

On August 21, 1976, in Saginaw, George married Tammy Hegenauer who survives him.  He is also survived by: his children, Danielle (Jon) Keller of Brighton, Tara Kruse of Traverse City, and Justin Kruse of Traverse City; grandchildren, Jake Keller, Abby Keller, Eva Alvarez, and Kane Warner; grand-dogs, Tess and Stella; brothers, Richard Kruse of Saginaw and John Kruse of Saginaw; father-in-law, Harold Hegenauer of Suttons Bay, MI.

George was affectionately known as a determined and loved man by all who had the privilege of knowing him. George took much pride in his electrical work. Cars were not just a hobby but were a passion. George also found joy in cooking for his family, friends, and clients.       Most of all, George loved his family, especially his grandchildren (and the grand-dogs, too!).  He enjoyed revisiting Lake Tahoe, California, where he and Tammy lived, then planting roots in Traverse City, MI, where they made so many friends.

George was preceded in death by: his parents; baby brother, Jimmy Kruse; and mother-in-law, Elaine Hegenauer.
