George Michael Poynter, 61, of Montague, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017.George was born July 19, 1956 to George and Isabella Poynter.

George worked as a contractor for most of his career. He enjoyed hunting, 2-tracking and was a true out-doors man. He was a goofy, silly, out-going, hardworking child at heart. He will be deeply missed.

George is survived by his daughter Cara; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1:00-5:00PM at Goodrich Park in Whitehall.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
