Mr. George Lloyd Routley, age 71 of Hart, passed away Thursday November 30, 2017. He was born on August 18, 1946 in Walkerville, Michigan to Lawrence and Irene (Woodward) Routley. George married the former April Payne in Hart on February 20, 1971. He was employed for forty years as a furnace operator at Howmet Corp.

George was a listener of music, especially Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. He also enjoyed drawing and driving his 2016 Chevy Camaro.

He is survived by one daughter, Erica Nicole Hay of Muskegon; three sisters, Ruth Gaultney of Whitehall, Rosamond (Charles) Wilson of Pennsylvania, Lora (James) Green of Hart; one brother, Roy (Jane) Routley of Mears; two grandchildren, Ava Cantu and Leland Cantu; several nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents; wife April Routley on April 1, 2017; two sisters, Ruby Bliss, Dolly Routley; five brothers, Tom, Bob, Bill, Niley and Sam.

The Funeral Service for George will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, the King-Hart Chapel, with the Rev. William Meyers officiating. Interment will be in the Oceana Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, one hour prior the service.
