Thursday, August 11th, of 2022 at 8:40p.m., Georgene C. Weber was welcomed into the most glorious garden. She was met by her daughter, Kim, and her parents, Robert and Evelyn, who preceded her in death. Born a Saxton, Georgene's story began at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan, on August 18 ^th , 1935. Georgene grew up with her younger sister, Bonnie Hensel, in Grawn, Michigan, and graduated from Traverse City High School in 1952.

A 67-year partnership of love started July 2nd, 1955 when she married Norman Arthur and became a Weber. Early in her marriage, Georgene was employed at Consumers Power as a secretary until she became a mother in 1959.

She passed her love and talents onto three daughters. The eldest, Kim (Scott) Lint gained her ability to make friends with anyone, teaching children and shopping for a bargain until the mall is closed. Her middle child, Connie (Wes) Hernden is an organized caretaker that finds peace in gardening and cooking. The baby, Lisa (Kevin) Hockin inherited her talents for sewing, baking and art.

Georgene enjoyed babysitting and throwing tea parties for her Grandchildren, Erin (Dan) Secord, Jessie (Jeff) Houser, Kelsey Lint, Carly Hernden, and Noah Hockin. Her great-grandson, Wesley, "the boy," also brought her great joy while she remained in Grawn, Michigan at her life-long home with Norman.

There will be a celebration of Georgene's life on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00AM at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel 232 East State Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.
