Gerardo "Jerry" Ettore
Tonini
Sep 22, 1957 — Jul 15, 2026
Holland, Michigan
Gerardo “Jerry” Ettore Tonini, of Holland, Michigan, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at his summer home in Silver Lake. He was born September 22, 1957, in Hinsdale, Illinois, the son of Oriano and Carmen (Bonazzi) Tonini.
Jerry graduated in the Class of 1975 from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and later attended Western Michigan University. Jerry worked in telecommunications, starting his own company as well as serving as president, vice-president and CEO of other companies. Jerry was also involved with the City of Holland planning commission and several committees. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed being around the water and boating, riding on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and telling everyone about how he fully restored his lime green barracuda. He also liked telling people how good his daughter’s gluten free bread was, though he called it gluten free-bird, and how proud he was of son, Don, for serving in the US Marine Corps. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with and cooking for his family and was known to make the best steaks ever.
On July 3, 1997, Jerry married Sharon Allen, who survives him. He is also survived by: his daughter, Victoria Tonini; his son, US Marine Corps Sergeant Donadio Tonini; his step-daughter, Jennifer Allen; his grandchildren, Nila, Jayla and Angelo; and his brother, Maurie Tonini of Oak Harbor, Washington.
Private family services were held at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel.
