Gina Lea Mackay-Yhamel, 45, of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Gina was born on April 1, 1972 to Dave and Elizabeth Mackay.

Gina graduated from Ravenna High School in 1991. Immediately following graduation she joined the US Army. She served her country proudly for 22 years which included tours of duty in Germany, Cuba, Iraq, Bosnia and Kuwait. Gina enjoyed dancing, concerts, being with her family, going out with friends, her dog Eve, boating and the military life. She was a giving, peaceful, smart woman who will be deeply missed.

Gina is survived by her children, Destany and Bryce Yhamel-Mackay; her parents, Dave (Donna) Mackay and Elizabeth (Dennis) Glomb; sisters, Kelly (Justin Workman)Sokolowski and Courtney (Rod Brezinski) Mackay; nieces and nephews, Natasha, Kyle, Elex, Ashley, Alexis and Adrianna; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Yhamel-Mackay; sister, Nanci Mackay-Graves; grandparents, Don and Bertha Krisatis, and Charles and Margaret Falzone; brother-in-law, Keith Sokolowski; cousin, Trever McWilliams; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be conducted with military rites at 1pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at First Reformed Church 3327 Mortimer St. Ravenna 49451. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Inurnment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery in Muskegon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the USO in Gina's name to help the deployed Soilders, Sailors, Airmen and Marines
