Mrs. Gladys L. Hindman, age 94, died Thursday, February 14, 2008. She was born in Pentwater on February 22, 1913 to Jesse and Kate (Brown) Marvin. On May 25, 1930 in Muskegon, she married Vern Hindman. Mrs. Hindman was a cashier for many years at Hansen Foods and attended the Hart United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Smith of Pentwater and Lois Sawdy of Mears; one son, Raymond Hindman of New Mexico; twenty three grandchildren; several great and great-great children; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Dorothy (Herm) Krantz of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by husband Vern on June 29, 1996, son, Jim Hindman; sister, Grace Postema; two brothers, Lawrence and Clarence Marvin; her parents; step-father, Fred Sweeney; step-brother, Fred Sweeney. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Hindman will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.at the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Ben B. Lester officiating. Interment in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 7-9 P.M.
