Mr. Glenn T. Craig, age 64, went to be his Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2007.He was born in Detroit on August 1, 1943 to Thomas W. and Frances E. (Griffin) Craig. Glenn was a resident of Pentwater during most of his life, prior to his moving to Whitehall in 1996. He received his education and was a graduate from Pentwater High School. Glenn was employed at Howmet for 38 years as a gauger, until his retirement on February 7, 2002. He married the former Pat Garland in Muskegon on February 27, 1996. Glenn was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He will be remembered as caring, fun, being a good advisor and a unique person. Some of Glenn's hobbies included watching the weather reports on television and his computer on-line. He was known for keeping accurate records of happenings in his every day life. Glenn loved rock and roll and oldies style music. He is remembered for producing many cassette tapes of oldies and rock and roll songs for his friends. He also liked to trace the bios of music authors and had aspirations of writing a book about them. As a family man, he loved camping at Henning Park at Newaygo and Hill and Hollow at Pentwater. Also he enjoyed fishing and canoeing and following his sons' playing basketball at Pentwater High School. He was an avid Detroit Lions Football fan, no matter what the outcome of the season was. Glenn is survived by his wife Pat and his family, Tim (Deaanna) Craig of Corpus Christie, TX, Ted (Tanya) Craig of Byron Center, MI, Sharon (Todd) Switzer of Waterford, MI, Gary (Leah) Garland of Twin Lake, and Tammy Garland of Muskegon; Grandchildren, Colby and Will Craig, Alyssa, Derek and Keegan Switzer, Isabel, Katelyn, Lilly, Layla Garland and Taya Ross; Brothers, Dennis Craig of Pentwater and Sam Craig of Ludington; several nieces, nephews and cousins; three of his beloved pets, Rascal, Colby and Mr. Cookie. He is also survived and will be greatly missed by his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Gordon and Terry Craig and his sister, Darlene Samuels. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 4-6 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pentwater Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Harbor Hospice or to the family.
