Gloria Mae Markley, 90, of Whitehall, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born August 2, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Roman and Mae (Zilka) Kapella.

On August 9th Gloria married Robert Markley. They had 65 years together.

Gloria was a faithful parishioner at the Friendship Wesleyan Church and also a member of the Squircle Ladies group. She enjoyed cooking, having company, and sewing. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma.

Gloria is survived by: her children, Diana (Rick) Lewis, Janet Rice, Mark Markley, and Cindy (Mike) Pollo; brother, David Kapella; and son-in-law, Gene Rice.

Gloria was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert; parents, Roman and Mae Kapella; sister, Romaine; and son, Daniel Markley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
