Mr. Gordon Ivan Hill, age 87, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was born December 5, 1926, in Shelby, to Arthur and Barbara (Hallowell) Hill. Gordon attended Hart High School and farmed his entire life. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #234. Gordon married Mildred Glover on May 5, 1968 in Hart. They were married 20 years before her passing in 1988.

Gordon is survived by one daughter, Susan (Mike) Briggs of Waterford; one son, David (Beth) Hill of Muskegon; one grandson, Evan Briggs; his brother, James Hill; his brother-in-law, Robert (Marilyn)
Glover; and several nieces and nephews. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred Hill; his brother, Carl Hill; and his sister, Maxine Ochs.

The funeral service for Mr. Hill will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home in Hart with Rev. Ron Marks officiating. Interment will take place at Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 9, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the American Legion Post 234, PO Box 163 or the Hart VFW Post 1329, 802 both of Hart, MI. 49420.
