IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gracie
Bean
March 6, 1932 – December 31, 2025
In Loving Memory of Gracie Bean
Gracie Bean, 93, passed away surrounded by love and the family she spent a lifetime caring for.
Born into a world that demanded grit and grace, she lived through the Great Depression and World War II, carrying forward the kind of steady strength that shaped generations.
She was a devoted mother who poured her heart into her children and held her family close through every season of life. She knew both the ordinary joys of motherhood and the deep worries that come with it—including the difficult days of having her son Robert serve in Vietnam. Through joy and hardship alike, Gracie remained a constant: resilient, steady, and deeply loving.
To her grandchildren, she gave something priceless—a safe and cozy home where summers in Michigan meant freedom to explore, room to grow, and the comfort of always being welcomed just as you were. That same generosity of spirit carried on to her great-grandchildren, whom she supported in every way she could, always wanting to make life a little easier, a little warmer, a little more secure.
Gracie had simple delights that made her uniquely her: Moon Pies, and chicken strips from Dairy Queen that never failed to brighten her day. And in one of life's sweetest surprises, she recently developed a love for football—cheering with real enthusiasm, especially for Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs, who brought her genuine happiness and something new to look forward to.
Above all, Gracie will be remembered for the home she created—not just the place, but the feeling. Safe. Cozy. Steady. Full of love. Her legacy lives on in the family she raised, the childhoods she sheltered, and the generations she helped along the way. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy and Nichole; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry her love with them always.
A celebration of her life will be held later in 2026, with details to come.
May her memory be a blessing, and may her love remain a comfort—today and always.
