IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory Scott
Anderson
January 11, 1988 – June 22, 2025
Gregory Scott Anderson, 37, of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his home. He was born January 11, 1988, in Muskegon, the son of Scott and Leslie (Schmitt) Anderson.
Gregory graduated from Orchard View High School in 2006, and went on to perfect his skill in welding and fabrication where he spent several years working at his favorite place, Porter Steel & Welding Co. Gregory lived a life full of adventure, kindness, and a deep appreciation of the natural world. From the peaceful, stillness of a quiet lake, to the sound of the river flowing in his parents' front yard, Gregory found joy and solace in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman; he loved having a pole in his hands and catching fish. If you ever had the opportunity to see his smile upon catching a fish, no matter how big or small you would know fishing brought him so much happiness. His love for snorkeling took him to the waters of Lake Michigan where he marveled at marine life, and all the other wonders of the underwater world, always returning with stories that sparked the interest of those around him. In the winter, Gregory embraced the thrill of snowboarding, carving through fresh powder with a smile that could light up the slopes. Beyond his adventurous spirit, Gregory will be remembered most for his heart. He had an unwavering desire to help others- whether it was lending a hand to help his dad fix the pond deck, or filling his mother's yard with the most beautiful flowers or giving a perfect stranger his brand new skateboard because he knew it would bring happiness to them. Gregory was always trying to make others happy. Gregory had a passion for kayaking with his family, with a pole in his hand, and he was the first to lend a hand when someone needed it while on the river. His generosity and compassion touched countless lives.
Gregory's legacy is one of love, laughter, and living life to the fullest. He leaves behind a community of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory and strive to carry forward the spirit of his kindness and adventure.
