Mr. Gregory R. Viterna, age 57, died Monday, November 13, 2006. He was born in Hart on August 3, 1949 to Robert and Josephine (Eyestone) Viterna and had been a lifetime area resident. Greg married the former Victoria Hart on March 30, 1968 in Hart. He was employed as the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works for the City of Hart for 24 years, until his retirement in 1992. His interests included hunting, camping and repairing old cars. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vicky; their children, Heath (Natalie) Viterna of Ferry, Misti (Dave) Horton of Fremont, MI and Travis Viterna of Bath, MI; 3 grandchildren, Domanic, Damian, and Rylhe. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Joella Riggs of Mears, David Viterna of Hart and Bobby Jo Maddox of New Brunsfield, TX; several nieces and nephews; his mother in law, Lois Hart. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Viterna, grandson, Logan, brother, Ricky Viterna and his father in law, Floyd Hart. The Funeral Service for Greg will be held Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Smith officiating. Interment in the Hart Cemetery. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Crystal Valley Care Fund.
