Gwendolyn Dawn Norkett, 91, of Montague, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 14, 2024. She was born January 25, 1933, in Watersmeet, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond Nye and Evelyn (Thorton) Popps.

Gwendolyn is survived by: her children, Lori (John) Theil, Melody Bell, Dawn (Jerry) Dixon, Loyal (Allison) Norkett, Donald (Sally Mcauley) Norkett Jr., Kelly (David) Ingersol, and Bernard Norkett; siblings, Susan (Roy) Sokolowski and Sherwood (Pawn) Popps; and 56 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by: her husband, Don Norkett; parents, Raymond Nye and Evelyn Popps; step-father, Loyal Popps; and siblings, Billie Rae Carpenter, Beverly Ryan, Jacquelyn Lewis, Keith Nye, and Shannon Popps.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer at a later date.
