Harriet Beatrice Cole, 89, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 18, 2018. Harriet was born on August 15, 1928, the daughter of Lewis and Gwyneth Trim.
In 1952, Harriet married Max Cole. Together they were blessed with 3 children and 40 years of marriage until Max's death in 1992. Harriet worked as a waitress some in her life as well as caring for and raising her family at home. She was a member of the Whitehall American Legion AUX, Color Guard, The White Lake Ladies Club and the White Lake Eagles. She also marched in the parade in Whitehall well into her late 70s. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing, roller-skating, the pool, and being with her grandchildren. She was a kind, loving, passionate driven woman who will be deeply missed.
Harriet is survived by: her children, Allen Cole and Marilyn Struble; her grandchildren, Maxine Cole, Brandon Struble, Amber (Paul) Nipp, and Max (Steffi) Struble; and her sister, Margret Deming.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Brian L. Cole; her parents; and her sisters, Louise and Carol.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Monday, June 25, 2018, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service - White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Avenue, Whitehall, with Pastor Ken Shady officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the start of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
