Heather Lynn Flannery, 50, was called to her Heavenly home during the wee hours of Saturday, October 29, 2022, with loved ones by her side. She fought a two-year battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Born June 27, 1972, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Heather is survived by her parents, Patrick J. Flannery (Lake Odessa) and Lynne A. Greening (North Muskegon). Heather attended Trinity Lutheran Elementary in Muskegon until 1984 when she and her mother moved to Traverse City. Prior to moving, Heather loved hanging around the theater with her mom, and was cast in Annie Get Your Gun, Wizard of Oz, and Showboat. Heather graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1990, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science from Grand Valley State College while employed with Northern Lakes Community Mental Health until early 2022.

Heather enjoyed decorating her home, estate sales, her children's sporting events, granddaughter time, and hanging with friends; she travelled with friends and family to Costa Rica, Ireland, Iceland, France, Italy, Hawaii; often to Hilton Head Island, and Colorado, including camping at her family's river property in Evart, and attending Bliss Fest with Tatem.

Survivors are: son, Toren Reilly Flannery-Breithaupt (29); daughter, Tatem Flannery Bottrell (16); granddaughter, Adelina Maria Flannery (3); step-mom, Mary Montague Flannery; half-sister, Brenna O'Brien (Tim); and several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She lived her final days in such grace and appreciation for family and friends who provided food, housing, sent flowers and cards, prayed, drove her to medical appointments and did odd jobs around her home.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 2555 S. Garfield, Traverse City; visitation an hour prior. Cremation has taken place.
