IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen May
Marker
August 10, 1924 – August 14, 2017
Helen May Marker, age 93, of Mears, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born August 10, 1924 in Greenville, OH to John and Anna Bollinger. She graduated from high school and on January 19, 1943 she married John Marker in Greenville, OH; they were married seventy-four years. Helen was a homemaker and a member of the West Golden Wesleyan Church. She was proud of her grandchildren and was a great woman of faith. Helen was an organist by ear, an outgoing lady who always smiled and loved to make people laugh. She was a practical jokester, fond of untying the apron strings of Don or Dave Hansen, at the grocery store, sometimes she was even able to untie both of them. Helen loved all animals, especially her cats. She also enjoyed the noise roar of engines from Dodge trucks or motorcycles, the louder the better she would say. Helen was fond of a good perch dinner at the Open Hearth or a meal out at Ponderosa with her family.
Helen is survived by her husband, John Marker of Mears; three children, Carolyn Ritter (Robert Flanery) of Walkerville, Pamela Clark of Rossberg, OH, John H. (Debbie) Marker of FL; two grandchildren, Erinn (Joe) Frech of New Madison, OH, Dan (Candy) Helm of Greenville, OH; three great-grandchildren, Amanda McGlinch, Jacob Frech, Emily Frech; one great-great granddaughter, Abby McGlinch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two half-brothers, Pearl Burk, and Artie Burk.
