Obituary

Mr. Henry William Lehman, age 89, of Hart, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. He was born August 22, 1922, in Grand Haven to Fredrick and Pauline Lehman. On October 17, 1942, in Muskegon, he married Lillian Eggleton and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2009. Mr. Lehman had owned and operated the Hart Body Shop for many years. Mr. Lehman was a member of the Hart Area Fire Department and was a founding member of the Oceana Golf Club. As a World War II veteran of the US Navy, he was a member the Hart VFW Post 1329 and the American Legion Post 234, having received honors for 60 years of membership. He was also a member of the Oceana Eagles, Elks Lodge, and the Knights of Columbus Mary Queen of Peace Council 2199 of Hart. Hank was an avid bowler and sponsored the Hart Body Shop team for many years. He also enjoyed their boat Lilly Pad, named for his wife Lillian. Hank was also a fan of Detroit Tiger Baseball. Henry is survived by two daughters, Diana (Mick) Weirich of Pentwater and Linda (Craig) Owens of Traverse City; two sons, Michael Lehman of Hart, Dan (Judy) Lehman of Pensacola, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Along with his wife, Hank was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Sally. The Mass of the Resurrection for Mr. Lehman will be offered Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Gregory Catholic Church with Father Phillip Sliwinski presiding. The Scripture Service will be Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the King Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. The family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Gregory Catholic Church, 316 S.
