Mr. Jack R. Brown, age 84 of Pentwater, MI went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2017. Jack was born on February 18, 1933 in Muskegon, to Ben and Bernice (Drent) Brown. He graduated from Ludington High School in 1951, having won the Most Valuable Player Award in Football, his senior year. After high school he trained as a meat cutter at Kroger's. He worked at several Kroger stores around the area, before working at his family's grocery store in Shelby. In August of 1953, he married Yvonne Ash in Shelby. Together, with the family, they moved to the Pentwater area in 1956. Jack and his wife started Jack's Trailer Sales, later known as JTS RV and was still working there at the time of his death. Jack enjoyed raising and caring for his quarter horses and beagles. He and his son, Gregg had many years of snowshoe hare hunting with the beagles in the Upper Peninsula.

Jack is survived by his wife Yvonne of Pentwater; four sons, Mark (Donna) Brown of Pentwater, David (Susan) Brown of Austin, TX, Larry (Staci) Brown of Ludington, Gregg (Barbara) Brown of Pentwater, sister Karen (Bob) Samuels of Shelby, brother, Al (Sharon) Brown of Scottville, sister in law, Nancy Brown of Shelby. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Bernice Brown of Pentwater, grandson, Adam Brown of Florida, sister, Betty McKee of Pentwater, brother, Jim Brown of Shelby.
