Mr. James Henry Chase, age 69, of Walkerville, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born October 6, 1941, in Walkerville to Miles and Lena (Deacon) Chase. He married Judith Coulier June 27, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weare. She preceded him in death January 17, 2001. He was a farmer and enjoyed golfing and traveling.

James is survived by one daughter, Valarie (Wilson) Hasse of Walkerville; four grandchildren, Bryce, Henry, James, and Jude; his companion, Shirley Wilkinson of Walkerville; two sisters, Hazel (Frank) O'Connor of Lowell and Mary Chase of Muskegon; three brothers, Phillip Chase of Grand Bay, AL, Michael (Lorraine) Chase of Walkerville, and Paul (Debbie) Chase of Walkerville. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife and a sister, Helen Chase.

Funeral services for Mr. Chase will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Walkerville Wesleyan Church in Walkerville with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Elbridge Cemetery.
