James Hammond, 76, of Montague, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. Jim was born on February 19, 1942 to Marion and Myrtle Hammond.

Jim married Tressa Tabor in 1961.Together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Jim served his country proudly in the US Army. He was a simple man who enjoyed working on Ford tractors, fishing and most of all being with his family. He was an energetic, opinionated, organized man. He will be deeply missed.

Jim is survived by his wife Tressa; children, Steve (Terry) Hammond, Lisa (Ron) Smith, Lorrie (Doug) Robbins and Terri McMann; grandchildren, Amanda Hammond, Melanie (Kevin) Rapes, Kyle Smith, Kacee Smith, Sarah Kinsley, Jerod (Kayleigh) Robbins, Travis (Breanna) Kartes and Josh McMann; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Easton, Mila, Austin and Tyler; his mother Myrtle; brothers, Bob (Marilyn) and Jack and his spouse; and sisters, Pat (Leland), Janice and Vickie (James);

He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Dana; and brother, Lowell.

In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation will take place and private family services will take place at his graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery in Montague.
