Mr. James T. Jeffries, age 85 of Hart, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born in Hart on May 8, 1927 to James and Goldie (Lattin) Jeffries. On October 22, 1949, he married the former Dorothy Marcia Schaner in Hart. Mr. Jeffries was employed as an auto body technician at Lipski Ford in Hart, until his retirement in 1972. He enjoyed hunting and working on automobiles.
James is survived by one daughter: Marcia (John) Behnken of Suwanee, GA; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister: June Visger of Charlotte, MI and one brother: Ted (Wanda) Jeffries of New Era, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife D. Marcia Jeffries on August 16, 2003, his daughter, Linda Dodge in 1986, his son, Robert Jeffries in 1954, his brother, Art Jeffries.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Mr. Jeffries will be Monday, December 31, 2012 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at King Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held in the spring of 2013 at Hart Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Margaret D. Fuehring Alzheimers Unit, 701 E. Main St., Hart, MI 49420.
