Thad Cousino, 56, of Montague died at home peacefully in his sleep, Friday, December 23, 2016. He was born April 27, 1960, in Saginaw, the son of Jim and Mary (Ross) Cousino. Thad was a Montague High School Graduate of the Class of 1978.
Thad was a member of the Old Speckled Hen MG car club and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Thad had many interests and passions. He was at one time a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and made very convincing chain mail. Thad was an avid geocacher. Thad organized and maintained records for Fantasy Baseball, Fantasy Football and Fantasy Nascar Racing with friends and family. Friday nights were reserved for board games with special friends. Thad enjoyed spending time on his computer and traveling.
Thad was the kind of friend that could be counted on to be helpful. He will be deeply missed. He was cool.
Thad is survived by: his father, Jim Cousino of Montague; his sister, Marcy (Rich Hodges) Cousino of Charlotte; and his nephew, Wilson Hodges.
Thad was preceded in death by: his mother, Mary Cousino; and his brother, Marty Cousino.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church, in Montague, with Rev. Peter Omogo celebrant. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 PM, at Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, 413 S. Mears Avenue, Whitehall. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
