Janet Ann DiGiovanni passed away peacefully on the most beautiful summer day, July 2, 2022, with all of her family at home in Elk Rapids as the Blue Angels flew over her. Janet was 84 years.

Janet was born on March 28, 1938, in Detroit Michigan. Janet married her high school sweetheart, Jim, in 1957, and they moved to Elk Rapids in 1976 with their three children to start a new journey.

Janet spent her time with family and friends, cooking fabulous food, decorating, singing with Sweet Adelines, golfing, and listening to music. Janet led an interesting life, she was part of prayer group, she had worked as a Vet Tech, Dental Assistant, a decorator, had a caramel corn stand, opened an Italian Restaurant and furniture stripping business. Janet was also very passionate about the Elk Rapids "Save The Dam Beach Project."

Janet was truly blessed with her amazing husband Jim, amazing children, Deborah, John, Gary, Vickie, Edward, and Elaine. Then, her family grew with her amazing grandchildren, Jacqueline, Phil, Jimmy, Renee, Michael, Theresa, Shane, Dylan, Morgan, Nikole, Pat, Anthony, Bailey, and Jenna. Lastly, with her amazing great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Natalie, Lena, Miles, Juliette, Lincoln, Jack, and one baby on the way. Janet's favorite dog was Charlie.

We will all miss her passion for life, her creativity, and her love. Janet's spirit will continue to live on through all the gifts, talents, and passion her family and friends will pass on to the world.

Our family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this difficult time.

A time of gathering will take place from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2022, Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Elk Rapids Chapel.
