On October 15, 2023, after a brief illness, Janet Marie Nass, of Hart, Michigan, joined her husband, Hugh Nass, in Heaven.  She was 80 years old.  Jan was born in 1942 to Charles and Seena Hall. She grew up in Bay City.  In 1965, she married the love of her life, Hugh Nass.

Janet had a very loving and caring nature. She was able to nurture these traits as she worked as an LPN, caring for many others, from newborn babies to seniors.  After retirement, she loved traveling, going to her grandchildren's events, and spending time with family.  Jan was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles, ceramics, and painting.

She is survived by: her daughter, Karla Snodgrass (Jeff) of Spring Lake, MI; and her son, Aaron Nass (Julie) of Grand Rapids, MI.  She cherished her four grandchildren, Kyle Snodgrass (Kaitlin), Makayla Snodgrass, Tyler Nass, and Brody Nass; and four great-grandchildren she adored.  She is also survived by: her brother, John Hall (Garry Lee); her sister, Marilyn Burns (Bob); nephew, Brian Burns; and niece, Lesley Burns.

Honoring Jan's wishes, there will be a private celebration of life for the immediate family.  Jan and Hugh will be buried together in Hart cemetery in a private ceremony.   In lieu of flowers, in support of Jan's passions, the family is recommending donations towards the American Heart Association or Noah's Project, www.noahprojectmuskegon.org/ .
