Obituary

Janet Robbins, 84, of Montague, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, with her loving caregiver, Marci Beckley, at her side. She was born May 24, 1940, in Muskegon, the daughter of Merle "Bud" and Arita (Lasser) Oldt.

On June 6, 1959, she married Guy Robbins. Janet worked various jobs throughout her working career, retiring from Child and Family Services.

Quilting was Janet's passion and she gifted many with her beautiful works of love. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church, in Montague, where the talents of her quilting were appreciated by the donation of a quilt to their annual Lenten raffle.

Janet is survived by: sons, Christopher (Dee) Robbins of Muskegon, Mark (Wanda) Robbins of WY, and Todd (Sue) Robbins of Twin Lake; grandchildren, Mark Robbins II, Zachary (Ashley) Robbins, Lauren (Matt) Stolzman, and Kaleigh Heger; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hadley Stolzman and Callen Robbins; and brother, Thomas Oldt of Wolverine, MI.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Guy Robbins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at St. James Catholic Church, 5079 Dowling St., Montague, MI 49437, with Father Peter Omogo presiding, and a luncheon to follow at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Quilting Ministry.
