Jayne Cassette, 92, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. Jayne was born on September 8, 1924 to Francis and Agnes Simonson.

Jayne was a life-long resident of Whitehall. In 1945, she married Robert Cassette and together they raised their 4 children and a nephew and were blessed with 55 years of marriage until his death in 2000.

Jayne enjoyed playing the accordion, bingo, knitting and sewing. Her family was what brought her the most joy in life. Jayne was a generous woman always putting the needs of others before hers. She was an out-going, caring, loving woman who will be deeply missed.

Jayne is survived by her children, Jerry Cassette, Denise (Robert Sr.) Cederquist, Jack (Megan) Cassette and Jill Cassette; grandchildren, Jason (Meital) Cassette, Jamie (Bobby) Ball, Derek Machovsky and Brooke Machovsky; 3 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Violet and Ava; special nephew, Bob (Colleen) Simonson and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 2 brothers.

In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and no services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital.
