IN LOVING MEMORY OF
J.E. Roger
Perreault
September 18, 1935 – July 7, 2021
Joseph Edward "Roger" Perreault, 85, of Traverse City, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. He was born on September 18, 1935, in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Bernadette Perreault.
Roger was known by many names, "Bumpa" by his grandson and great-grandchildren and "Dad" by not just his own children but by those who adopted him along the way. He was known for his teasing but most importantly, his sincere compassion for anyone and everyone as he never knew a stranger. In addition to spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, swimming, and perusing the various antique stores, he also enjoyed watching birds, boats, and the beautiful sunsets on East Bay. However, his most favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family; especially his "Honey" of more than 63 years while traveling and listening to Sinatra-style music. - Love you, forever and 1 ½ days.
On August 9, 1958, he married the "catch of his life," Janet Hamilton, in Rochester. Also surviving is their son, Roger (Sonya); their two daughters, Rebecca and Jennifer; their Grandson, Michael (Ariel) and Granddaughter, Megan; and their great-grandchildren Addelyn and Calvin.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Daniel Perreault; his parents; brother Richard; sisters, Irene (Lewis), Mary, and Lorraine (Martin-Bigelow); father and mother -in-law, Roland and V. Ernestine Hamilton; brother-in-law, Mike Hamilton; and nephew, Michael Hamilton.
