Jean Ellen Dresen, 68, of Muskegon, suddenly passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, following a short illness. She was born January 22, 1953, in Muskegon, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Miesch) LaMorte.

Jean was dedicated to the service of others. She was a longtime 4-H leader in Muskegon County and enjoyed volunteering to help animals and people alike. She loved her farm at home, including her dogs, cats, and horses. Jean's passion was volunteering with the Muskegon County Victim Services Unit; she was also a longtime employee and director of a local non-profit ambulance service.

Jean had a zest for life and this showed through her love and commitment to her family, especially her grandkids. Jean was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all of those she touched throughout her life.

Jean is survived by: her husband of 32 years, Michael Dresen; children, Joshua (Jamie Chester) Puisis, Lindsay (Nick Perreault) Puisis, and Stephanie (Mike) Sandilands; grandkids, Joshua Puisis Jr., Logan Perreault, Christopher Perreault, Zachary Perreault, and Chase Sandilands; sister, Donna (James) Mattzela; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, Friday, April 30, 2021, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White-Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461. Funeral services and entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Muskegon, will be conducted privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven or Muskegon County Victim Services Unit.
