Jean Lang Frost, 85, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 8, 2018, in Grand Haven.  She was born September 5, 1933, in Muskegon, the daughter of Herbert and Marion Vanderstelt.

In her younger years, Jean worked at Meyercord Inc. in Illinois, but soon after she found a love for childcare.  She opened her home and began to run an in-home daycare for many years.

In her spare time, Jean enjoyed cooking, baking, working in her yard and tending to her garden.  She also loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending the winters with her daughter in Gilbert, Arizona.

Jean is survived by: her children, Michael Lang of Montague, Timothy Lang of Whitehall and Katherine Lang of Gilbert, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Anthony (Chantelle) Cavicchioni, Michael (Brittany) Cavicchioni, Nicholas Valentine and Brianna Valentine; 3 great-grandchildren, Camden Cavicchioni, Connor Cavicchioni and Bella Cavicchioni; her stepchildren, Nancy (Andy) Tejchma, Joyce (Scott) Tisch, Dan (Lynnette) Frost and Mike Frost; numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her sister, Dorothy (Jack) Frost of Whitehall.

Jean was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, William Lang in 1977; her second husband, David Frost in 2016; 2 sisters, Ruth Frantz and Aleda Meyer; 3 brothers, Jack, Charles and Thomas Vanderstelt; and her step-grandson, Kevin Tejchma.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2018, at Fruitland Township Cemetery with Pastor Steve Young officiating.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
