Mrs. Jean McQuarrie Mack, age 85, of Pentwater, MI., passed from this life on December 11, 2014 surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was born March 10, 1929, in Detroit, MI., daughter of Archibald and Estelle (Ellenbrook) Thompson. Jean married the love her life Joseph Norman Mack on June 26, 1948. Together for over 65 years, they forged a journey that included six children, ten grandchildren, three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and countless adventures that continue to live in our memories. She was the inspiration and creative force behind several business ventures that still thrive today, including M & M Associates and Sassafras Tees. A forty year resident of Pentwater, she loved the beach, the sound of the gentle rhythmic waves and Lake Michigan sunsets. Her knack for organizing the chaos of such a large family was legendary. Jean's creative spirit lives on in her children.

Jean is survived by her husband, Joseph Mack of Pentwater, MI; four daughters, Linda (Daryl) Case of White Lake, MI, Aimee (Gerald) Engle of Denver, CO, Beth (Tomas) Sturr of Rockford, MI, and Teresa Mack of Del Ray Beach, FL; two sons, David (Kathleen) Mack of Pentwater, MI, and Joel Mack of Pentwater, MI; ten Grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Caylin, Laura, Davis, Joseph Ryan, Kyle, Shayla, Kailey, and Cooper; five great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Reagan, Braden, Oliver, and Atticus; two brothers, Archie (Carol) Thompson of Sun City, AZ, and George Thompson of Garden City, MI; half-sister, Barbara Cary of Fort Wayne, IN; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
