IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey Carl
Ault
December 31, 1943 – August 6, 2025
Jeffrey Carl Ault, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, son-in-law, father-in-law and friend, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Traverse City, Michigan. He was born in Newport News, Virginia, on December 31, 1943.
Jeff was a kind and generous soul whose warmth touched the lives of everyone around him. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued-whether through a quiet act of kindness, a thoughtful conversation, or his unwavering support when it mattered most.
He was beloved by his family, and he was also a loyal friend, a trusted confidant, and someone who brought light into our lives in ways big and small. His sense of humor, gentle spirit, and genuine compassion will remain with us always.
Jeff dedicated his early career to the apparel equipment industry before turning his talents to real estate, where he made a lasting impact. He was known by his work colleagues and employees, for his kindness, generosity, and humor. He gave opportunities to new young hires, encouraged and mentored them, which many have said, became the turning point in their lives and careers.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary Ann Echlin Ault; his children, Jeff Ault, Jr. and Alison Ault Gantt; his grandchildren, David Gantt III, Bryce Gantt, and Sophia Gantt; his sisters; Claudia Maples and Judy Slaughter; his brothers-in-law; John P. Echlin, Dennis C. Echlin, Giovanni B. Albino, his nephews; Travis Musick, Brandon Musick, Jason Musick, John E. Echlin, Brian Slaughter, Dillon Albino, his nieces; Sharon Slaughter, Laura Slaughter, Constance Echlin Vazzino, Erika Echlin Corbett, Monica Echlin Hernandez , Angelica Echlin and his beloved dog, Auggie.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the time we shared and the many memories we now hold even closer. Jeff was deeply loved, and he will be profoundly missed.
A memorial service and celebration of Jeff's life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a church or charity of your choice in Jeff Ault's memory.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell- Traverse City Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
