Jeffrey John Emery, 54, of Mears, died unexpectedly Monday, August 13, 2018, Mercy Health Sherman Campus in Muskegon. He was born June 23, 1964 in Detroit.

Jeff was working as a hi-lo operator at Chassix, in Montague, where he had been employed for the past 17 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing softball, shooting pool and throwing darts. He loved playing golf with his son and being with his grandson. Jeff also loved staying active, whether it was going for a car ride or lending a helping hand.

Jeff is survived by: his son, Adam Emery of Mears; his fiancé, Macy Miller of Mears; his grandson, Matthew Miller; his parents, Gerald and Marilyn Emery of Pentwater; his brother, Greg (Alison Swanderski) Emery of Pentwater; his sister, Jane (Don) Rutledge of Hart; his niece, Jill (Bryan) O'Guin of Benton Harbor; and 3 nephews, Kevin Emery of Scottville, Kyle Emery of Scottville and Nicholas Zimmerman of Cassopolis.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2018, Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart, with Father Phillip Sliwinski officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
