Mr. Jerome M. Estepp, USMC retired, age 60 of Mears, died Sunday December 6, 2009. He was born in Shelby, MI on February 10, 1949 to Max and Alberta (Hein) Estepp. He was a graduate of Hart High School in the Class of 1968. On June 20, 1970, he married Rose Mary Donahoo in Luna Delgal, CA. Jerome was employed with the Peterson Farms for 20 years. Mr. Estepp enlisted with the United States Marine Corps and became a career officer, until his retirement from military service. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps League of Pentwater, American Legion, and Son of the Union in Grand Haven, MI and the Oceana Center Grange. Mr. Estepp is survived by a brother, Douglas (Patricia) Estepp of Mears; sister, Carol (Mike) Revell of Twin Lake; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Rose Mary Estepp on June 11, 2005. The Funeral Service for Mr. Estepp will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Ben B. Lester officiating. Interment will be made in the Mears Cemetery with Full Military Rites by the United States Marine Corps League and the Pentwater VFW Post 6017. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home.
