Mr. Jerry D. Lee, age 68 of Mears, died Thursday, January 29, 2009. He was born January 24, 1941 in South Haven, MI to Stanley and Velma (Nuttall) Lee. Mr. Lee was a foreman at Ott Chemical Company and then was the park supervisor for Silver City II. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Angela (Michael) Sirotko of Fruitport and Jeri Lynn Lee of California; his loved and cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathaniel Sirotko; sister, Patricia (Joseph) Grega of Fruitport; brother, Robert (Diane) Lee of Mears; several loving nieces and nephews; his companion, Helen Venne of Mears. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Funeral Service for Mr. Lee will be held Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Fr. Theodore Sirotko officiating. Interment will be in the Mears Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Harbor Hospice.
