Jerry William Powers, 84, of Pentwater, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home. He was born October 17, 1940, in Weare Township, the son of Ernest and Grace (Boone) Powers.

Jerry was born and raised in Oceana County and was a lifelong resident of the area. He, his wife, and his three children ran their family farm in Pentwater, but he did enjoy an occasional fishing trip.

Jerry married the love of his life, Sharron Ann (Blair) Powers, on August 14, 1965, and she survives him, along with their children, Michael Lee (Celeste) Powers, Robert Powers, and Jeffery Powers, all of Pentwater; grandchildren, Brad (Danielle) Powers of Pentwater, and Bethany (Barry) Schultz of North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Grace Lynn Powers, Harris Michael Powers, Edward Roger Powers, Audrey Ann Schultz, Charles Ernest Schultz, and Jayden Hope Schultz.

Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents, Ernest and Grace Powers; and his siblings, Ralph Powers, Lester (Charlie) Powers, Nellie Celli, and Clara Bickel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM Noon, Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Ludington Area St. Paul Church, 3212 West Kinney Road, Ludington, MI 49431.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, www.hom.org, or the Oceana County Animal Shelter, 2185 West Baseline Road, Shelby, MI 49455.
