Jerry Lee Roest, 68, formerly from the White Lake area, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019. He was born October 4, 1950, the son of Donald and Carol Roest.
On May 22, 1976, Jerry married the former Janice Gray. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage until her death in 2013. Jerry worked as a supervisor at Howmet for many years until his retirement in 2009. He was very well respected there. Jerry also enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his family, and was a gifted storyteller. He had a giant personality and a big heart. Jerry was a witty, loving, compassionate, generous man who will be deeply missed.
Jerry is survived by: his children, Lorie (Jeffery) McNabney, Cindy (Jamie) Butler, Jamie (Darci) Hooks, Randy (Karen) Roest; his grandchildren, Robert (Jessica), Alexander (Stacy), Justin, Bretten, Caiden, Josi, Zeri, Cole, Courtney, Marlaina, and Gwyneth; his great-grandchildren, Trenten, Marlee, Tyler, and EvRhett; his brother, Wayne (Alida) Roest; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by: his wife; and parents.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019, at New Era Bible Church, 5308 S. Oceana Drive, New Era, with Pastor Mike Deblois officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Era Bible Church or the American Cancer Society.
