Jesse Hugh Harris, 44, of Kingsley, MI, passed away on March 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 19, 1980, in Traverse City, MI, to JR Harris and Shawn Gibbons.

Jesse was a hardworking man with an unwavering love for his family. He was an amazing father who found his greatest joy in his children and grandchildren. Jesse had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or simply spending time outdoors in the yard. His strength, determination, and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. And if you were lucky enough to sit at his table, you knew that his cooking skills were second to none—he could turn any meal into a masterpiece, made with love and shared with joy.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Harris; his children, Taylor (Dustin) Blaisdell, Adeline Harris, Landen Spink, Ethan Harris, and Corbin Harris; and his cherished grandchildren, Bentley Blaisdell and Braelynn Blaisdell. He is also survived by his father, JR (Sheryl) Harris, and his siblings, Scott (Anna) Loveland, Terry (Rebecca) Loveland, Jason (Cari) Loveland, Andy (Kimberly) Loveland, Steven Johnson, and Lynda (Mark) Arman.

Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, Shawn Killey, and stepfather, Terry Killey.

Though cancer may have taken Jesse from this world, it could never diminish the love and strength he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.

A celebration of Jesse's life will be held at a later date.
