Miss Jessica L. Bruce, age 20, of Hart died unexpectedly Sunday, August 17, 2008. She was born October 23, 1987 in Shelby to Steven and Connie (Gebhart) Bruce. Jessica was a member of the Hart High School Class of 2005. She was employed as a trail guide at the Double JJ Ranch. She was an accomplished Equestrian and had won many competitions. During her high school years she was a varsity cheerleader. Jessica was a very lovable person and she loved everyone. To anyone who was in need of a helping hand, Jessica was there for them. She was a very beautiful girl. Jessica is survived by her parents, Steve and Connie Bruce of Hart; brother, Trenton M. Bruce of Hart; grandparents, Gale (LaVonne) Gebhart of Hart; aunts, Debra (Barry) Rutledge of North Carolina, Tamra (Joe) Rudicil of Norton Shores, Susan J. Gordon of Rockford, MI, Laura (Tim) Reminga of Grand Rapids, Barbara Bruce of Grand Rapids; many special close great aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon and Ruth (Hawley) Bruce and great grandmother, Lettie Gebhart. The Funeral Service for Jessica will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. from the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Lorraine Boucon officiating. Interment will be in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Jessica Lauren Bruce Fund for Bipolar Research through the Oceana County Community Foundation.
