Jo Ann Simon

Jo Ann Simon, 90, of Hart, MI, passed away on May 21, 2026, after a long illness. She was born August 7, 1935, in Kennett, Missouri, and moved to Michigan in the early 1950's.

Jo Ann attended Muskegon St. Joseph High School and went on to live a life centered on faith, family, and love. Jo Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who found great joy in quiet times with her family and in reading. She was deeply loved by her husband, Edward, who always called her "Precious". They shared nearly 68 years of marriage before his death in 2023. Jo Ann was a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Parish in Muskegon.

Jo Ann is survived by: her sons, Edward (Sarah) Simon, Terry (Peg) Simon, Jeffrey (Christine) Simon, and William Simon; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-granddaughters; and her sister, Sharon Chauvez.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Weare Catholic Church, 2380 West Jackson Road, Hart, MI 49420, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with a Rosary at 10:30 AM. A luncheon in the church hall will follow the Mass.
