Joan Lois Engfer, age 82, of Ludington, passed away March 21, 2018. Joan was born on November 1, 1935 to Lewis and Stella Osborn.

Joan married Herbert Engfer on June 9 ^th , 1956. Together they were blessed with 2 children and 52 years of marriage until his death on July 29 ^th , 2008. Joan was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church.  She enjoyed puzzles, bingo, watching sports and her Detroit Tigers. She was a kind, caring woman who loved the simple things in life. She will be deeply missed.

Joan is survived by her children, Mike (Susan) Engfer and Kathryn (Jeff) Larson; grandchildren, Kerri (Chad) Nelson, Kirsten (Sam) Genson, Kyle (Hailee) Larson, Anlin Larson, Carl (Jessica) Engfer and Angela (Ryan) Weisbrod; great-grandchildren, Dustyn, Logan, Jaden, Grace, Sawyer, Haidyn, Reese, Aubrey and Carter; sisters, Barbara Slonecki and Patricia Zwiefka; brother-in-law, Jack Engfer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday April 7, 2018 at St. Simon Catholic Church, in Ludington, with Father Wayne B. Wheeler presiding. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the Church. Interment will take place at Pere Marquette Cemetery.
