John "Triple" Albert Bitter III, 81, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019. John was born October 9, 1937, the son of John and Joella Bitter.

Triple grew up and spent the majority of his life in San Antonio. During the summer he visited their summer cottage in Sylvan Beach and he thoroughly enjoyed his time at White Lake. Triple was a fun-loving man who enjoyed ranching, playing golf, going to the casino, and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a happy, out-going, generous man who will be deeply missed.

Triple is survived by: his wife, Kay; children, Tracy (Tom) Pressly, Amy (Bruce) Scheiber, Bryan Riley, Laura (David) Bird and Marc (Amy) Riley; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy (Terrie) Bitter and Joe (Mary Ann) Bitter; sister, Priscilla (John) Lupe; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and two infant sons.

Cremation will take place and at this time no service is being planned in Michigan

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children and Arthritis, or a charity of choice.
