John Kokinakes passed away on January 15, 2025.  He was 94 years old.

John's family and friends meant everything to him.  He loved being on the lake (or any body of water) and taught his kids and grandkids the joys of boating and all water sports.  John was an ardent Michigan football fan and loved the maize and blue!

John is survived by: his wife, Nancy; sister, Stella; children, Merri, Susan (Randy), Paul (Carol), Philip (Janis), and Julie (Craig); 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter-in-law, JoLynn; and his beloved son, Andy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church, 7111 US 31 N, Williamsburg, Michigan 49690, with Fr. Ciprian Streza officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church, and a luncheon will follow at the church.  Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, in Elk Rapids, in the spring.
