Obituary
Mr. Jordan William Evans, age 23, of Hart, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014.
He was born March 25, 1991, in Ludington to William and Cheryl (VanGills) Evans.
He graduated from Hart High School with the Class of 2009 and attended West Shore Community College. He was employed at Evans Farms. Jordan enjoyed hunting, working on the farm, and snowmobiling. He was a respectful young man and loved everyone.
Jordan is survived by his parents, William and Cheryl Evans of Hart;
his brother, Josh Evans of Hart; his grandfather, William VanGills of Pentwater; his girlfriend, Andrea Sturr of Grand Rapids; several aunts and uncles, Doug (Linda) VanGills of Pentwater, Kim (Sue) VanGills of Ludington, Rick (Cheryl) VanGills of Hart, Jolyn (Pete) DuMonte of Carey, Ohio, Melinda VanGills of Whitehall, Jill (Doug) Walls of Baldwin, Linda (Bob) Gailey of Lansing, Janice (Allen) Foster of Hart, Renee (Stan) Raspotnick of Ludington, andTim (Cathy) Evans of Hart; many friends who were like family to Jordan; and his beloved Black Lab, Ruger. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack Evans, Eulaila "Toots" Evans, and Marian VanGills.
The Funeral Service for Mr. Evans will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hart with Rev. Ron Rickard officiating. Interment will be in Elbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the King Funeral Home in Hart.
