Jory Patrick Lang, 33, of Muskegon, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026, in Warren, Michigan. He was born December 16, 1992, in Muskegon, the son of John Earl Lang and Joyce Melba Carey.
Jory will be remembered fondly by many friends and remaining family members as someone who could always bring a smile to your face. His bright energy, positive outlook, and sense of humor will never be forgotten. Despite many hardships this world put him through, he remained a strong hardheaded man, who fought to lead a good life.
In his own words: “I love my ppl, family, loved ones (all synonyms) almost a lil more than myself. I’ve suffered immensely in life, I don’t mind; I did it all for the glory and proliferation of love. All I’ve ever wanted is just the same love and loyalty back."
Jory was meant to graduate with the class of 2011 at Orchard View High School before he went to prison in 2010. He received his GED while he was in prison and attended some classes at Muskegon Community College after his release in 2023. He worked as a chef for Lombardo’s Sicilian Pizza, and he would buy, fix, and sell cars for a living.
He enjoyed many different hobbies including MMA fighting, wrestling, watching sports, writing poetry, golfing, working out, and fixing cars. He loved spending time with people and being social. He had a thirst for knowledge; he loved learning about anything and everything. He was proud to be in college and really wanted to make something of himself.
Jory is survived by: his half-brother, Jervon Lang; nephew, Shaun Green; cousin, Mickenzie Carey; and cousin, Zachary Carey.
Jory was preceded in death by: his parents, John Earl Lang and Joyce Melba Carey; sister, Amber Carey; brother, John Jordan Carey; grandfather, Thomas Lang; uncle, Stephen Carey; uncle, Neil Carey; uncle, Kenneth Carey; uncle, Marvin Carey; and uncle, Jeffrey Carey.
