IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Gerald
Hahn
April 25, 1960 – October 14, 2025
Joseph Gerald Hahn, age 65, passed away at his home in Whitehall, on October 14, 2025, from complications of asthma. He was born in Muskegon, the son of Fred Hahn and Dorothy (Jones) Hahn, and was the fourth of six siblings.
Joe graduated from Orchard View High School and later moved to Rothbury to be closer to his siblings. He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, the last was as a concrete worker until he became disabled later on.
He was a gentle man, a big teddy bear, and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. At family gatherings, he was often in charge of the grill, taking pride in getting everything done "just right." Joe had many interests, most of which revolved around his artistic talents. He loved to draw, often sending cards and letters with his drawings on the back of the envelopes. He also liked working with wood, searching out just the right species to make his projects from. Later, he developed a passion for working with stained glass, designing and creating beautiful clocks and pictures that he gave as gifts to family and friends. He continued this passion until his passing, his last unfinished piece will be completed by his sister, Susan.
We're going to miss hearing you say "Hey, what's up?" and "Okey, Dokey!" in your special way. You'll be forever in our hearts.
Joe is survived by: his siblings, Susan Hahn Sands, Shirley Hahn, and David Hahn, all of Rothbury, and Fred Hahn, of Flint; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and an uncle; his best friend since childhood, Steve Dewitt and his wife, Justine; and his beloved dog, Zoey.
Joe was preceded in death by: his parents, Fred and Dorothy; his brother, Michael; and his much loved dog, Molly girl.
In accordance with Joseph's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
