Joseph "Joe" Stanley Novak, 83, of Traverse City, Michigan, died Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Venice, Florida.  He was born March 18, 1941, in Muskegon, the son of Stanley and Helen (Karpinski) Novak.

Joe Graduated from the University of Michigan in 1963 and married Barbara Brandt 1964.  In 2011, he retired as Partner in Old Mission Investment Company.   Joe was always taking care of others. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and coffee with friends.  He was always looking for that big score in the market and shopping for the best deal in town with his coupons. And, of course, he loved watching his favorite Wolverines --- Go Blue!

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Joe is survived by: his children, Joel (Melissa) Novak and Julie Grist; grandchildren, Landon (Tristina), Preston, Seth, Nathan, and Kyle; great-grandchildren; Devin, MiKaya, and Maverick.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Novak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12675 Center Road, Traverse City, Michigan  49686, with the Reverend Zbigniew Grankowski celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice House in Venice, Florida.
