Obituary

Mrs. Josephine Gertrude Skinner, age 98, of Hart, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart. She was born September 16, 1917, in Mears to Hiram and Anna (Demler) Staples. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Skinner married Lowell Skinner in Hart on May 2, 1942.

Josephine is survived by two daughters: Nancy (Jerry) Wiseman of Hart and Dianna Skinner of Hart; granddaughter, Heidi Ann (Travis Viterna) Wiseman of Pentwater; great granddaughter, Kenzie Crystal Louann Durham of Pentwater; step grandsons, Ethan and Hunter Viterna. two sisters: Katie Foster of Hart and Agnes Rhoads of North Muskegon, MI and two brothers Earl (Rosie) Staples of Mears and Archie Staples of Mears. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell Skinner in 2000, three sisters, Blanche Foster, Erma Bowden, Dorothy O'Brien, two brothers, Milan Staples and Vincent Staples, five infant brothers, four infant sisters.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Skinner will be Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 11:00 am at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with Pastor Robert Gray officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Hart.
