Joy Gardy, 89, of Mears, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021.  She was born on September 11, 1931, in Manasquan, New Jersey, the daughter of Dustan and Eurylla Allaire.

Joy was a wonderful wife, incredible, loving, and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and amazing friend.  Her kind and compassionate soul endeared her to so many that treasured her.

On September 11, 1970, Joy married Rodger Lee Gardy, and after 50 years of marriage, he survives her. She is also survived by: her eight children; Kim (Joe), Randy (Maureen), Rodger Lee (Katy), Rick, Gail (Victor), James (Anne), Scott, and Candy (Claire); 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Joy was preceded in death by: her parents, Dustan and Eurylla; and daughter-in-law, Paula (Rick) Timbs.

In accordance with Joy's wishes, cremation has taken place and funeral services will be conducted privately.
