Joyce Elaine Bengtsson, 81 of Hart, died peacefully at home on March 19, 2016. She was born July 19, 1934 in Elbridge Township to Wilford L. and Carrie P. (Graham) Conkle. Joyce was a graduate of Walkerville High School with the class of 1952. She began her sixty-two year marriage to Sherman Bengtsson on September 5, 1953 in Muskegon. Their journey together took them from Walkerville to Muskegon, on to Kalamazoo and then back to Hart in 1967 where they have resided since. She was a homemaker and mother first, but also held many office positions throughout a forty year career. Joyce is survived by her husband, Sherm; daughter, Karen Wisniewski of Wyoming, MI; son, Bruce Bengtsson of North Carolina; and a brother, Archie Holbrook of Walkerville, MI. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Wilford Conkle. She was loved by many relatives as well as dear friends she had from many years of auctions, yard sales, etc. where Joyce enjoyed her passion for collecting decorative glassware (and other items too numerous to mention). In honor of Joyce's request, there will be no service. The family requests that any memorial contributions be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
